This was established by Dr and Mrs Hawgood, the previous owners and is primarily planted with plants which grew in Shakespeare’s time. The path and the box hedging are recent additions as are the statues.
One of the statues is the Bard himself whilst the other we have named Anne Hathaway. We like to think of them enjoying the peace and serenity of the garden when no one else is there.
Old roses, yew, damson, laurel, box, lavender and a variety of herbs are some of the plants in this garden.
