This area has its own microclimate where you will find ferns, hostas, a bay, an olive and herbs, a splendid passionflower, winter jasmine and honeysuckle growing up the walls.
Above the fountain is the English natural clematis; old mans beard. On summer days the courtyard bursts into life with visitors enjoying cream teas or even a glass of champagne.
Outside the courtyard along the wall of the office is a Moroccan broom, sometimes called the pineapple tree because of its fragrant blooms.
